The SNL UK host announcement sketch has a tight production window. The whole thing is shot and edited in a single afternoon, so I worked closely with powerhouse director Yasmin Goddo to make the writers’ vision a reality (no mean feat when production only receives the script 24 hours before shooting starts).

We blocked the scene to ensure that Ncuti and the rest of the cast could “regenerate” into each other seamlessly, riffing off of Ncuti’s background as Doctor Who. Anthony Le came in to the edit to design the most (deliberately) shonky Whovian regeneration effects of all time, and the whole team worked like an oiled machine to hit the deadline.
