A bit about me

Alysia Judge is a journalist-turned-filmmaker who specialises in stories of quiet resistance.

Having covered video games culture for a decade (BBC, IGN, The Guardian, BAFTA) Alysia’s work is driven by a belief that entertainment isn’t just escapism, it’s one of the most powerful forces of our time. She’s currently developing a film about the intersection of video games and politics.

As a director and editor, she now applies her storytelling instinct to the cinema screen, crafting documentaries and commercial work for clients including Netflix, Disney, and Sky.

As an editor, she specialises in helping directors carve compelling stories from complex rushes - sometimes filmed over years. As a director, her filmmaking style is intimate, warm, and curious - always chasing the emotional core of a story, whether it’s with a controller or through a camera lens.
