SWIM SISTAS | LIGHTING EACH OTHER’S LIGHTS
Short documentary
I love it when women women. This microshort documentary is the companion to director Catherine Joy White’s achingly beautiful feature documentary SWIM SISTAS. It examines our relationship with water through a broader female lens, looking at the way that oceans and pools hold and bind a sisterhood among the waves.
Commissioned by Dryrobe for International Women’s Day, I did the edit, sound design and mix, and really wanted to capture the immense power of water, as well as the peace you feel when floating in its currents. I’m proud to say I think we managed it.
